2023
FEBRUARY 2023
We attended our first GVRD dance since 2019! Everyone was SO excited to get out on the dance floor and feel the love!
MARCH 2022
March was busy!
- We visited the Legion of Honor Museum in San Francisco for a docent-led tour of the John Singer Sargent exhibit, followed by lunch at the Hard Knox Cafe. So yummy!
- We also took a tour of the Savage & Cooke Distillery on Mare Island, where artisanal spirits are made! They took us through the whole distillery to teach us the science of how bourbon is made.
- Finally, we supported the Cave Language Academy PTA by having our perfect attendance lunch at their dining-out fundraiser at MOD Pizza.
APRIL 2023
This month was the culmination of so much hard work- our Science Fair! ACT Instructor Angel R. came up with the idea and we ran with it. Participants from our ACT and TDS program ran their experiments, completed their research, and presented their findings to an enthralled audience that included PaceSolano participants, District Representatives from Solano County Supervisor Erin Hannigan, and Gabriel Rogin, the Executive Director of NBRC.
JUNE 2023
The Arc-Solano held a Paint'n'Sip party with artist Caitlin Douglas and we painted a gorgeous night scene!
Later in June, we held our 70th Anniversary party! We invited all of our friends to help us celebrate this momentous event.
Finally, we attended the Solano County Fair and loved it!
July 2023
San Francisco yet again! We love the Access Program of the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco. This program allows seniors and disabled people special access to the special exhibits with free docent-led tours. This time, we saw personal items from the court of Henry VIII of England! Then, of course, we finished our trip with a meal at one of our favorite places in SF- the Hard Knox Cafe! They always treat us so well!
OCTOBER 2023
Let's go Niners! TDS volunteered for the Coach Sarna League at Levi Stadium.
NOVEMBER 2023
The Arc-Solano was lucky enough to snag an amazing theater instructor, Meja, who worked with the program participants to envision, create, write, and produce an original play. They worked for MONTHS on this project and The Collective premiered on November 1, 2023 at the Mira Guild Theatre.
DECEMBER 2023
It's holiday time again! We had a WONDERFUL holiday feast for our TDS and ACT program participants, which included some amazing performances, delicious food, and quiet crafts.
We later went to Bambino's Vallejo for our annual Staff Holiday Luncheon. The food, as usual, was amazing, and the gift exchange was exciting!
